This is a principle NTD Architecture partner Godwin S. Osifeso is known for.

How we met was unplanned. He left his home about the same time I did mine. 12 miles driving the same route, we pulled into the same Costco driveway. We chatted. His firm was finishing construction of Rialto Middle School. I mentioned I am an architectural photographer. He asked for a bid on the photography needed during the critical time between when the school was finished and classes opened.

Shortly thereafter, Godwin and staff members provided a walk-through of the still pristine campus. The design's beauty was apparent despite having been built within tightly bound financial constraints.  Rialto is a working class community. 17.4% of the population lives below the poverty line. Not infrequently, its crime rate is above the national average. The school was built in a "financial hardship" situation: entirely with state funding as the community had no funds to match. NTD Architecture's assignment was to produce a safe campus conducive to student achievement. They achieved far more.

Lead architect Larry Buoncristiani describes the lean and linear lines as 'Modern Craftsman'. My mission as an architectural photographer is to deliver images with visual impact.

Key design elements, such as trim work and flooring design are focused in key locations where they have the highest design impact for the least possible investment. Harmonious color schemes lend a calm continuity of spirit and place.

To capture the beauty of the campus, I created a portfolio of images that are intended to open the imagination to the design's subtle beauty through the manipulation of angles and lighting to enhance reality. The strength of the overall design is shown through broad horizontal images and details of the campus.

Just as NTD Architects focuses on continued improvement on the product they deliver (institutional buildings) to assure high quality results and client satisfaction, follow up with clients is important to my business as a photographer. When Larry Buoncristiani was asked if I had captured with my lens the interesting angles, the effect of color- the elements which comprise the spirit of place, I was pleased to hear,  "It is difficult to capture the essence of a project... Gene's photography makes the school look richer."
